How many guests can stay?
The condo comfortably sleeps up to 6 guests.
Sleeping arrangements include:
Two queen beds in the bedroom
Queen sleeper sofa in the living room
Is the condo pet friendly?
Yes. We welcome well-behaved dogs so you can bring your four-legged family members along for the beach trip.
Is there a pet fee?
No! When booking direct we do not charge a pet fee!
Is there free parking?
Yes. Free onsite parking is available for guests during your stay.
What time is check-in and checkout?
Check-in begins at 4:00 PM and checkout is 10:00 AM. We are occasionally able to offer an early check-in or late check-out - just ask!
How do I book Sophia by the Sea?
You can book directly through our website by selecting your travel dates and completing the secure checkout process. We are also listed on AirBnB, VRBO and the Alabama Beaches website.
Why should I book directly instead of Airbnb or Vrbo?
Booking directly allows you to avoid platform service fees and communicate directly with the owners.
Is booking direct safe?
Yes. Our website uses secure payment processing to protect your information.
What payment methods do you accept?
Major credit and debit cards are accepted.
What is your cancellation policy?
From March 1 - Labor Day, we offer a full refund (minus the credit card processing fee) for cancellations made 30+ days out. If you cancel after that, refunds are made on a case by case basis.
From Labor Day - February 28, we do not offer refunds.
Does the condo have ocean views?
Yes. The living room and kitchen windows offer beautiful views of the Gulf.
Is there a pool or hot tub?
Yes. Guests have access to the complex pool and hot tub.
Is the kitchen fully stocked?
Yes. We stay here often and are always making sure the kitchen is fully stocked. The kitchen includes cookware, dishes, utensils and appliances so you can easily cook meals during your stay.
Do you provide beach gear?
Yes. We have four Tommy Bahama backpack beach chairs as well as a beach bag and sand toys.
Is there WiFi?
Yes. High-speed WiFi is included and works great for streaming or remote work.
Is there laundry?
Laundry facilities are available within the complex. It is quarter-operated and located near the pool.
How does check-in work?
Check-in is simple with a secure self check-in door code. You will receive instructions before your arrival.
Who do I contact if I need help during my stay?
You can message us directly anytime and we are happy to help. Your check-in instructions will include a phone number for you to reach us and you can call or text at any time!
Do you provide recommendations for things to do?

House Rules
No smoking is allowed inside the condo. But you can smoke outside.
What is the minimum age to book?
While the primary guest must typically be at least 25 years old, we often make exceptions. We started traveling young and we recognize there are tons of responsible, young travelers! Just reach out!
